Working in partnership with academic programs to inspire universitywide standards of quality, access and equity in graduate programs, the Graduate College actively promotes the interests of graduate education and those of Arizona State University’s nearly 13,000 graduate students within the state, national and international arenas.
A recognized leader in graduate education, the Graduate College facilitates and promotes innovative programming and world-class research opportunities with nationally acclaimed professional development programs, such as “Preparing Future Faculty” and “Strategies for Success”.
The Graduate College is committed to graduate student support and diversity, offering a variety of programs and financial support options to enhance the diversity of the graduate student population.
- University graduate fellowships are designed to support the recruitment of the highest-quality graduate students from across the nation and the world.
- Dissertation fellowships support doctoral students in their final year of academic work.
To meet the growing need for students trained in multidisciplinary areas, the Graduate College launched the Interdisciplinary Graduate Academy. The academy provides a home for students whose research has an interdisciplinary focus, and offers training and professional development support for those activities.
- The Graduate Academy Speaker Series creates the capacity for international videoconferencing through an interdisciplinary graduate student colloquia series with selected national and international programs and universities called “Bringing the World to ASU.”
- The Summer Institute Research experience for undergraduates that educates and recruits the very best undergraduates from ASU, the state and the nation.
