Sun Devil Endowment Program
Building a championship team is only half of the battle. Sustaining that team is the other half.
The best athletic programs think forward. Yes, we celebrate the successes of our current champions.
But we also look toward the future because we want to sustain the championship programs we build. The performance of ASU Athletics and our more than 500 student-athletes instill pride in the community. We want that to last forevermore by providing perpetual scholarships to them.
Opportunities for endowment
As a part of the Sun Devil Legacy campaign, the Sun Devil Endowment program has an ambitious goal: fully endow all 21 varsity sports at ASU through scholarships. This allows us to ensure the welfare of our student-athletes and includes the full cost of attendance for each. We must raise $170 million to reach this goal. And position by position, sport by sport, donor by donor — we can make it!
Become a champion for Sun Devils
$300,000 — Endowed Position Scholarship
- Covers the full cost of attendance for one year in perpetuity
- Name a scholarship for a specific position on the Sun Devil team of your choice
- The name will forever reside with the position, e.g., Wally Fischer Starting Quarterback Position
$150,000 — Endowed Sport Scholarship
- Covers a significant portion of the cost of attendance for one year in perpetuity
- Donors will have a named scholarship recipient each year
- The name will forever reside with the scholarship, e.g., Bill and Judy Schaefer Men’s Golf Scholarship
$25,000 — Sport Scholars
- Contribution to a designated sport’s endowment fund
- Donors will be recognized on the donor wall and receive invitations to endowment functions, e.g., Frank Kush Scholars, benefiting ASU Football
