Presidential Engagement Programs are your link to the knowledge and talent that thrives across all of ASU's campuses. PEP participants engage with ASU, becoming part of a constantly growing community. They enhance their understanding of the world by absorbing the knowledge offered by program presenters, and enrich themselves by joining ASU in its mission to pursue solutions that will change the world.
our 2013–14 season
As we come to the end of the 2013–14 Presidential Engagement Programs season, I want to thank you for participating in this year’s events.
It is clear that what we do at PEP is critical to the success of Arizona State University and its service to the community. Building relationships between you and ASU faculty members benefits everyone.
It’s an opportunity for ASU to open its doors, showcase the outstanding work being done here and inspire you to delve deeper into what ASU is doing and create your own ties to the university. Health care education, renewable energy and sustainability, entrepreneurship — issues that matter to you are being advanced, and you can tap into that knowledge. Find your passion at ASU. Connect. Be part of what’s going on. Invite others to join you in exploring ASU’s array of knowledge and talent.
PEP offers a broad scope of what ASU is and does. This year, ASU scholars and researchers encouraged us to not only look outward and explore the world but also to look inward. Their topics spanned geopolitics, accountability journalism, U.S. warfare and the mysteries of the human brain. We wrapped up our efforts with an inspirational Innovation Showcase, a massive display of student-inspired engineering projects.
These programs demonstrate ASU’s commitment to our community, including advocates like you, current and future students and those we have yet to meet.
I hope you enjoyed these opportunities to learn and strengthen ties to ASU.
I look forward to using the summer to continue a critical conversation: how I can enrich your engagement with ASU.
