The Human Event is a milestone in the lives of freshmen at Barrett, The Honors College at ASU. This signature honors seminar has been available only as part of the Barrett curriculum — until now. “Great Conversations” is an extension of The Human Event concept for the public; a dinner event to explore the world’s greatest literature and most profound ideas, to exercise critical thinking skills in collaboration with Barrett faculty and students. Barrett Honors Faculty Fellows Laura Popova and Karen Bruhn will guide a lively, meaningful discussion of Sophocles' "Antigone," in which everyone can take part, and from which everyone will grow. You are encouraged to purchase and read this telling book prior to our evening of thoughtful conversation.
