Center for Community
Development & Civil Rights

ASU at the Downtown Phoenix campus

The Center for Community Development & Civil Rights was established through the vision of Raul Yzaguirre, a widely recognized international leader representing the U.S. Latino population. His involvement in the most critical legislative and public policy issues of the last three decades has made him a key national player on behalf of the U.S. Latino population.

The Center for Community Development & Civil Rights convenes experts to address the critical issues facing the U.S. Latino population and other communities by producing impact-driven solutions in the defined areas of community development, education and health. Through its vigorous efforts to stimulate thinking, inform the debate and produce practical solutions, the center is ideally situated to charge an axis that connects Arizona State University to the state’s culturally rich and diverse communities.

Located in the heart of the Downtown Phoenix campus of ASU, the Center for Community Development & Civil Rights promotes a dynamic exchange of ideas among its strategic alliances representing different disciplines, sectors and cultures.
