ASU’s College of Teacher Education and Leadership prepares great teachers and school leaders to transform the lives of their students and the character of their schools and communities.
In keeping with the campus’ mission to balance the traditions of a liberal arts education in response to the dynamics of workforce requirements, the college’s curriculum combines best practices derived from current research with innovative teaching approaches while integrating invaluable real-world classroom experiences. This commitment to high standards strengthens the ability of future teachers to be confident, effective career professionals in today’s diverse classrooms.
The College of Teacher Education and Leadership offers both undergraduate and master’s degree programs in special education, secondary education and elementary education, and a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision. Beginning in fall 2006, the college will offer the first doctoral degree, an Ed.D. in leadership and innovation.
