ASU will match the payout on new endowed scholarships of $50,000 or more.
ASU and the ASU Foundation for A New American University have joined together in a strategic partnership with donors to generate new scholarship endowments that will ensure academically talented students with limited financial resources have access to higher education. Endowments are a particularly powerful way to support ASU, as annual income generated by an endowment provides continuous, reliable funding for the future.
*For illustration purposes only. Actual payout varies from year to year depending on the performance of the endowment and the length of time to fulfill the gift commitment.
When you invest in the New American University Scholarship Matching Program, you magnify the impact of your investment with a match from ASU, making more aid available for qualified students. Funds eligible for matching must be outright gifts or pledged over five years. They also must be for students with financial need as well as academic merit and can be named for the donor and designated for a college or school.
If you would like to establish a New American University Matching Scholarship Endowment** (minimum $50,000) for students who demonstrate academic merit and financial need contact Mary Negri, Director of Development, Student Success at mnegri@asu.edu or 480-965-0878.
**In addition to the funds generated by the donor endowment, ASU will provide 4 percent of gift commitment annually for 10 years in the name of the donor endowment to increase funds available for scholarship awards.
Matching funds are not available for the following options.
All funds will be deposited with the ASU Foundation, a separate nonprofit organization that exists to support Arizona State University (ASU). Gifts in support of ASU are subject to foundation policies and fees. Your payment may be considered a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of charitable contributions.
