Led by Dr. Michael M. Crow, one of Time’s "Top 10" university presidents in 2010, ASU is one of the most radical redesigns in higher learning since the 19th century. At least that’s what Dr. George Poste said about us in Newsweek.
How, you ask? ASU reinvented itself by committing to meet the greatest challenges facing our country and world. Even though ASU is one of America’s youngest research universities, it already has three Nobel Laureates on faculty, and is among the top 10 producers of Fulbright and National Merit Scholars and Academic All Americans. Also now ranked as one of the top 100 universities worldwide, the physical plant has grown by more than 7 million square feet since 2001, including a brand new campus in downtown Phoenix that already has more than 6,000 students taking classes.
At the ASU Foundation, we also reinvented. Our development environment is different. It looks outward, not inward, and takes on big ideas with bold action. We embraced our ability to be deal-makers who connect extraordinary funders with extraordinary opportunities. We built a collaborative culture across our community of fundraisers like you’ve never seen before. Our colleagues recognize, like you, the very special privilege and honor of development work. We endeavor to help each other, always, and are optimists who see potential for progress where others see roadblocks and dead ends. We strive to stand out in a sea of fundraising sameness, and are committed to ASU for the long term – just like we ask donors to be.
ASU is a deep, rich soil where our work can be planted to last for generations. We believe it’s worthy of our very best efforts. It’s not for faint-hearted fundraisers, certainly, but hopefully perfect for someone like you.
