corporate relations

our services

The Office of Corporate Relations collaborates with its university colleagues to identify exemplary programs and initiatives that advance ASU’s key priorities and are likely to have strong appeal to local, national or international corporate-based funders.

To build the university’s and foundation’s reputations as partners of choice among leaders in the business community, our office:

  • Advances the university’s priority initiatives, including the Sustainability Consortium and other educational initiatives.
  • Works with ASU’s multiple campuses, colleges and units to identify promising programs and match those programs with appropriate prospective funders.
  • Partners with the ASU Office of Knowledge Enterprise Development on limited submissions and internal calls for proposals.
  • Manages the ongoing cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporations and corporate foundations with the capacity to make major investments in ASU.
  • Establishes and maintains administrative practices that ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to corporate-based fundraising.
  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all records regarding corporate philanthropic giving to ASU.

To assist ASU faculty, staff and development officers with corporate fundraising-related activities, our office provides:

  • Project and concept development.
  • Corporate solicitation strategy development.
  • Preparation of written concept summaries, case statements, letters of inquiry and proposals.
  • Contact with program officers when appropriate.
  • Cultivation and stewardship activities.

In general, our office will be pleased to provide full support for requests of $100,000 and above, as well as limited assistance for proposals of less than $100,000. Please email Shaun Brenton, associate vice president of corporate relations, for further information about how we can help you advance your proposal.
