Born and raised in Chicago, Harry Papp moved to Arizona to work with his family's financial services firm. It didn't take long for him and his family to embrace Phoenix and begin to make a difference.

"Growing up in Chicago, I had arts and culture right outside my front door," said Harry. "Both of my parents were active volunteers and board members for a variety of charities. Early on I decided I wanted to do my part to make the world a better place."

active in the community

This sentiment is shared by his wife, Rosellen. Both she and Harry are active supporters and serve in leadership roles for a number of charitable interests such as the Phoenix Zoo, the Arthritis Foundation, the Botanical Garden and the Flinn Foundation as well as many others.

Harry is also invested in the future of Arizona State University. As the investment committee chair of the Board of Trustees of Arizona State University, he understands and supports ASU's vision and mission. Though neither Harry nor his wife attended ASU, the Papps have a strong commitment to the school.

current and future support

"In order for the community of Phoenix to prosper, ASU needs to be successful. So much has changed in the last 20 years. It is exciting to imagine where the university will be 20 years from now."

The Papps not only support ASU annually, they have also included ASU in their estate plans. Their two daughters were involved in this decision and are proud of their parents' commitment.

"I want others to know that I am personally invested in ASU," said Harry. "I hope our decision will help encourage others to do the same."
