The ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, founded in 1967, has earned a reputation for academic excellence and innovative programs. Its graduates include United States congressmen; members of the state judiciary, including an Arizona Supreme Court justice; a state attorney general; secretary of state; a mayor of Phoenix; and partners in prestigious law firms.

The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law is committed to innovative teaching and scholarship. Students learn from a faculty of scholar-teachers who maintain one of the most productive records for scholarship, research, and publication of any public law program in the nation. The College ensures that faculty can get to know the students, especially through many small classes and seminars.

In addition to a strong general program, the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law offers the following three unique and distinguishing leadership programs:

• The Clinical Program is among the most comprehensive in the nation. Eleven hands-on clinics provide graduates with the skills needed to succeed. The clinics include:

• The Indian Legal Program was established in 1988 to provide legal education, scholarship, and public service to tribal governments. Its primary goals are to help train Indian lawyers and promote an understanding of the differences between the legal systems of Indian Nations and the United States. The program has become one of the best in the nation, educating students in Indian law and providing students with practical work experience.
• The Center for Law, Science and Innovation is the first and largest academic center focused on the intersection of law and science. The Center bridges law and science by fostering the development of legal frameworks for new technologies and advancing the informed use of science in legal decision making. The Center facilitates transdisciplinary study and dialogue among policy-makers, academics, students, professionals, and industry. It is committed to principles of balance, innovation, competitiveness, and sustainability.
