ASURA Adopt-A-Family Program

ASURA Adopt-A-Family Program

Learn more about your impact

The Arizona State University Retirees Association has had an adopt-a-family program since 1992. Each year, the association works with the Tempe School District and ASU's off-campus Student Services to select families in need, and provides them with clothing, food and gifts during the holidays. Families often send wonderful thank-you letters, some with drawings, that show the impact of these gifts. One mother wrote, "Although it has been years since Santa provided gifts in our household, my children truly appreciate Christmas now more than ever thanks to your generosity." When you give to the ASURA Adopt-A-Family Program, you ensure that two families have much happier holidays every year.

Impact of Donor Support

  • Donors bring the world’s brightest minds to Arizona by supporting endowed chairs and professorships.
  • Leaders rise to the top. The Tip of the Fork program enables Sun Devil student-athletes to develop leadership skills through volunteering in their community.
  • Entrepreneurship thrives at ASU. Two examples: The Prepped program supporting minority entrepreneurs has fueled 100 small businesses.
  • And the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative has supported 1,000+ students and 297 unique ventures over 15 years.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
