ASU Ethics Bowl

Learn more about your impact

Guns in classrooms. Legalized drugs. Genetic testing. The production and consumption of meat. These are among the many debated topics that come to life at the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl presented by the Association of Practical and Professional Ethics, which bring students from all over the country together to deliberate solutions to complex, ethical and political dilemmas plaguing our society.

When you make a gift to the ASU Ethics Bowl, you help cover the travel costs for ASU's student teams competing in regional and national competitions. In turn, students are given the opportunity to understand and explain a range of different perspectives and develop their own, promoting critical and creative thinking around world issues.

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

We choose to invest in ASU because of its agility, speed and focus on innovation. The Swette Center engages in cross-disciplinary research and collaborates with many partners, including private sector leaders, to create food systems change.”
