Gifts to the Nursing Resource Center support the tools, access, and virtual training necessary to launch our BSN and MSN students.

One of the first requirements students need before beginning clinical training rotations is their nurse skills bag. Each bag comes filled with the tools of the nursing trade, including a central line dressing tray, Foley catheter kit, incentive spirometer, IV catheter kit and a variety of syringes. Every donated skills bag means another student can focus on learning while delivering quality health care, instead of worrying about affording supplies.

When COVID-19 shut down all lines of external clinical training our students were fortunate to have access to Edson?s Grace Center for Innovation in Nursing Education. Our state-of-the-art 45,000 square foot simulation environment allowed our students to remain on track for their necessary clinical hours, as half of these hours can be completed at the Grace Center. Now as students return to clinical settings the Nursing Resource Center fund is there again to help with the increased PPE requirements at their placements.
