ENERGIZE Psychology Program

Learn more about your impact

When you give to the ENERGIZE Psychology Program, your gift helps to advance our mission by increasing student exposure to laboratory work to prepare them for graduate work in psychology and positions in academia. The ENERGIZE Psychology Program is a vital component of the Psychology Department graduate programs efforts toward diversity. In 40 years, no Black student has been accepted in the cognitive science area. The ENERGIZE program will help change that by supporting under-represented students who aim for postgraduate study. Giving to the ENERGIZE Psychology Program helps to ensure equity and inclusion for students studying scientific psychology.

Your gift directly supports:

  • Hiring an ENERGIZE student to help with ENERGIZE program administration.
  • An honorarium for the graduate student coordinator.
  • Payment of poster printing for ENERGIZE students presenting their research at conferences.
  • Providing meals for attendees at ENERGIZE programs.

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
