Aaron Stephen Moore taught at Arizona State University for 11 years, during which time he established his scholarly career and contributed to the study of Asia and the intellectual life of Arizona State University. Moore is remembered for the breadth and originality of his scholarship, his love of collaboration and his full-hearted efforts on behalf of his students, the faculty of history, the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies, and the Center for Asian Research. Aaron was a scholar of global consequence and a rising authority in his field. The impact of his loss spans continents and resonates deeply among his family and his students, colleagues and friends at ASU.
