Your gift to The Sue and Jerry Gilbert Endowed Scholarship for ASU Men's Basketball Fund provides critical scholarship support for student-athletes, alleviating the financial burden of tuition, room and board and books. Your support grants them more time to focus on being students and athletes.
Impact of Donor Support
- The cost for an out-of-state student-athlete to attend ASU for one year is $71,660 on average between tuition, team travel, equipment, sports medicine, food and nutrition and tutoring/academic resources.
- Arizona State ranked No. 1 in the Pac-12 Conference for the second year in a row in 2023 for Academic Progress Rating which tracks achievement in the classroom year over year ahead of Stanford, Cal, USC and UCLA.
- Some more metrics that show just how much these hard-working student-athletes have achieved with your support: 3.3 average GPA (fall 2022), 76% of student-athletes received “Scholar Baller” status (3.0 GPA or higher), 110 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA and 138 Academic All-Americans since 2000, which ranks second in the Pac-12 during that stretch.
