Education opens doors, but financial hardship can make it difficult for students to continue pursuing their goals. This fund provides need-based scholarships to ASU students of all backgrounds, faiths and identities, giving students the financial support they need to stay focused on their education. Because scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated financial need, donations may be given as zakat (the obligatory form of charity in Islam), allowing donors to support students facing financial hardship as they continue their education.
Gifts of $500 support one student for a semester, while $1,000 supports one student for a full academic year. Donors who fund a full scholarship may also choose to name the scholarship in honor or memory of a person, family or community. Gifts of $10,000 or more are recognized as Founding Donors, helping to build a lasting source of scholarship support for ASU students for years to come.
