Learn more about your impact
Your donation honors the legacy and life of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who passed away on December 1, 2023. Justice O’Connor was not only the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States, but she also started her life in public service as an assistant attorney general for Arizona and then served in the state Senate. She left the Senate to serve as a judge in the Maricopa County Superior Court, then on the Arizona Court of Appeals – dedicating her life to serving in all three branches of the government. This endowed faculty chair continues her legacy by supporting the next generation of trailblazers committed to public service, the principles of judicial ethics, and the rule of law. This endowed chair will support the work of an extraordinary faculty member here at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
