This fund awards an annual scholarship to an incoming first-year or transfer student from the state of Colorado.
Being an out of state student I’m faced with being away from family. Traveling to and from Arizona can get expensive and can limit the number of times I’m able to fly home and see my loved ones. After receiving this scholarship, I intended to put the money towards airfare and travel expenses. It's important to me that I stay connected and close with my family and those that I love most, so this money will allow me to visit my family back in Colorado during both Thanksgiving and Winter break.
Impact of donor support
In 2024, the ASU Alumni Association awarded over $44,000 in chapter scholarships. Since the 2010 academic year, ASU Alumni chapters have awarded over 600 scholarships, totaling more than $600,000. These scholarships are more than just financial relief – they’re a gateway to a vibrant community of Sun Devils that spans generations, offering a chance to grow, thrive and engage.
