This fund awards an annual scholarship to an incoming first-year or transfer student from the Portland area.
College can be very expensive, and being first generation with a single mom makes college hard to afford. This scholarship is helping me further my dreams as an ASU Sun Devil.
Impact of donor support
In 2024, the ASU Alumni Association awarded over $44,000 in chapter scholarships. Since the 2010 academic year, ASU Alumni chapters have awarded over 600 scholarships, totaling more than $600,000. These scholarships are more than just financial relief – they’re a gateway to a vibrant community of Sun Devils that spans generations, offering a chance to grow, thrive and engage.
The ASU/Portland scholarship gives students from the rainy Pacific Northwest a stronger connection to sunny Arizona and ASU.
