Learn more about your impact

An orchestra shell, also known as an acoustic shell, is a structure designed to enhance and direct sound in performance spaces, particularly for orchestras, bands and other musical ensembles. It is a crucial component in venues where acoustics play a significant role, such as concert halls, theaters and auditoriums.

This fund supports the design, acquisition and installation of a new modular orchestra shell at ASU Gammage, acting as a transformational investment in students within the School of Music, Dance and Theatre by elevating their rehearsal, learning and performance experiences to the highest standards.

The donor’s intent is to ensure long-term artistic excellence, operational sustainability and meaningful student impact for generations to come.

Give yourself the gift of art; it’s one of the greatest choices that you can make to enrich your life and expand your philanthropic capacity. Giving to the arts represents an investment in yourself that will yield returns full of meaning, knowledge and joy. It’s also one of the greatest gifts that you can give Arizona. What kind of a public would we be without arts and culture?”
