Learn more about your impact

Inspired by the leadership of Senator John McCain and his family's legacy of public service, the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University advances character-driven leadership based on security, economic opportunity, freedom and human dignity around the world. The McCain Institute implements concrete programs aimed at making a difference in people's lives across a range of critical areas: leadership development, human rights, rule of law, international security and combatting human trafficking.

Today, as we work to shape a secure future, we need to continue to build an array of friends and supporters to provide the critical financial foundation that will enable us to continue to rise as a world-renowned national and international institution. Here in our early years, we have forged a number of solid partnerships with many dedicated foundations, corporations and individual donors who share Senator McCain's values of liberty, equal justice and respect for the dignity of all people. Yet to sustain and expand the success we've built to date, we continue to need committed leaders who are eager to invest in bold strategies and ideas to bring forth positive change. With your generous contribution, you can ensure we have the essential funding we need to continue to engage more American and international leaders to help us fulfill our mission to create a more democratic and stable world.

Impact of Donor Support

  • Donors bring the world’s brightest minds to Arizona by supporting endowed chairs and professorships.
  • Leaders rise to the top. The Tip of the Fork program enables Sun Devil student-athletes to develop leadership skills through volunteering in their community.
  • Entrepreneurship thrives at ASU. Two examples: The Prepped program supporting minority entrepreneurs has fueled 100 small businesses.
  • And the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative has supported 1,000+ students and 297 unique ventures over 15 years.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
