Learn more about your impact
Treks for Vets is an initiative designed in partnership with the Pat Tillman Veteran Center to help ASU student veterans stay the course and complete their degree. Following their first year of studies, they have the opportunity to take part in a four-day journey at one of Arizona's wilderness settings to recharge, reimagine, reinvigorate and reconnect with fellow veterans who have shared experiences. Our hope is that this will provide them a support system through the completion of their degree.
Your gift to the Treks for Vets Fund helps pay for all expenses related to this special journey including lodging, food, training, guidance and educational materials. It also ensures student veterans have the tools they need to support their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.
I like the philosophy behind it of helping veterans come back and cope. It was an amazing experience that wildly exceeded my expectations."
Impact of Donor Support
- More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
- More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
- And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.
I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
