Learn more about your impact

When you make a gift to the Director of the School of International Letters and Cultures Fund, you allow the school's director to respond quickly to student needs and research opportunities. Past initiatives include development of courses to meet the needs of a new generation of students and strategic recruitment of world-class faculty in areas of importance to the ASU community.

The School of International Letters and Cultures hopes to expand our programs to include languages and cultures beyond those that have traditionally been taught in the U.S., to include more exposure to the parts of the world with rapidly growing economies and increasing prominence as trading partners. The school also hopes to expand its heritage language offerings, allowing students from immigrant and other bilingual families in the United States to round out their proficiency, giving them a firm foothold in business and other environments both in English and their heritage language.

The School of International Letters and Cultures opens your worldview by introducing you to so many cultures. It’s been a really great experience and it has changed my perspective on so many things!"

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
