Learn more about your impact

Your generosity supports global literacy and ensures that financial barriers don'stand in the way of undergraduate and graduate students seeking a degree in Spanish and/or Portuguese in the School of International Letters and Cultures. Scholarship support can be applied toward education costs, housing and other beneficial expenses, including enrichment opportunities that elevate students? educational experiences. These students can use these funds to travel to conferences and pursue similar activities that help them develop academically and professionally.

Without families like [the Martinezes], graduate students in our department would have a harder time finding support that is clearly still needed among the Latino graduate student community. So thank you very much! You are contributing to the 1% of Latinos who hold a PhD in this country."

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
