In 2017, John Konopka joined the Department of Supply Chain Management in the W. P. Carey School of Business as an Assistant Clinical Professor after a very successful 35-year career as a Supply Chain Analyst at IBM. This was a homecoming for John since he earned his BS, MS and Ph.D. from the W. P. Carey School of Business, despite being a native New Yorker. John taught many different courses at the BS and MS levels while at ASU. He inspired his students to be all they could be and immediately earned their respect and admiration for his teaching and mentorship. John also became the Executive Director of the Supply Chain Executive Consortium, bringing together industry leaders and ASU SCM faculty to address current supply chain concerns and prepare for future supply chain issues. John was a great colleague and friend to the ASU faculty and staff and he will be sorely missed. This fund will continue his legacy of teaching and mentorship at ASU.
