Gifts made to the John Spence Memorial Fund will support an annual lecture in memory of John Spence. John Spence’s career spanned more than 40 years at ASU, where early on he was a key contributor to ASU’s world-renowned program in electron microscopy and, was the director of science for the NSF BioXFEL Science and Technology Center on the application of X-ray free-electron (XFEL) lasers to structural biology. The Department of Physics at The College would like to have a memorial lecture in John's name.
