Barrett has played a significant role in our professional and personal lives. Professionally, we both have grown immensely as we have served in the capacities of recruiting and advising Barrett students. Personally, we have developed lifelong friendships with staff, faculty, parents, and most, importantly, the students. We first met 25 years ago when Michelle started working as a recruiter for the larger ASU. Ken was Michelle’s boss, and a friendship grew from the respect we had for each other and our shared goal of providing guidance to students to help them achieve their educational goals so that they could make a positive impact on others and the world. That friendship soon turned into love, and in November 2002, we were married at the Danforth chapel on the ASU Tempe campus. Over the years, we have been enthusiastic supporters of ASU athletics as well as cultural events. Now, with a combined total of almost 65 years of service to ASU and Barrett, we have decided to enter into the next exciting stage of our lives and formally retire. ASU & Barrett will always hold a special place in our hearts. The relationships we have developed over the years and the people we have met have touched our lives in remarkable ways. We are so grateful for ASU and Barrett, and we look forward to creating a scholarship here to help future students pursue their dreams of going to college.
