SESE Student Emergency Fund

Learn more about your impact

The School of Earth and Space Exploration supports their students in their time of greatest need. Funding alleviates financial burdens and stress resulting from emergencies, and helps cover expenses related to travel, healthcare, housing or food insecurity. When you give to the fund, you provide meaningful and immediate support to students when they need it most.

In the current environment brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, in which many students have lost income from jobs held outside the university, your support will help students experiencing economic hardship. Your gift will support our future scientists and promote the health and well-being of our student community.

With your support, we can assist the most vulnerable in our community, our students! The School of Earth and Space Exploration Student Emergency Assistance Fund offers a unique opportunity to meet their urgent needs during the uncharted territory and difficult circumstances of a global pandemic.

I hope you will join me in making a gift to the SESE Student Emergency Fund so that we can assist our students through this challenging time. I am deeply grateful for the support and the continued commitment of our community and I'm confident that we will get through these difficult times stronger than ever."

Meenakshi Wadhwa, Director, School of Earth and Space Exploration

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
