Learn more about your impact

Winslow Futures Scholarship has been created by a group of Winslow-born and ASU Sun Devils who recognize the profound power of education and its capacity to facilitate change. They understand that pursuing a college education is more than the acquisition of knowledge; it serves as a catalyst for personal growth, intellectual and emotional development and the cultivation of critical thinking necessary for success in life.

The spirit and intent of the donors supporting this scholarship is to help future generations of young people raised in Winslow, Arizona, in achieving, perhaps re-imagining, their goals by minimizing the financial barriers associated with pursuing higher education. They hope to demonstrate how leveraging the benefits of a university degree can ignite their own future and help them reach levels of success perhaps not previously imagined.

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

Many of these students have gone home where they are successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, venture capitalists, impact investors and senior government officials. The come home with a powerful American business education taught in a culturally sensitive environment, and respectful of the nuances of our cultural differences."
