CISA Social Sciences Experiential Learning and Community Engagement

Learn more about your impact

The CISA Social Sciences Experiential Learning and Community fund will help foster student success and retention by providing financial support to students. The fund will also help create projects that provide students with real-world experience under professional and academic supervision as they take on social, political, economic, ecological and cultural issues across multiple disciplines. Polytechnic Social Sciences seeks to promote community growth and development across the communities we serve as we create innovative teaching experiences to help students meet the changing needs of the workforce while facing the unique challenges of the 21st century. The applied focus of the Polytechnic Social Sciences degree programs and its faculty expertise on the relationship between science, technology, economic, political, social and ecological problems supports the development of curriculum across disciplines and positions the Polytechnic Social Sciences to engage with community stakeholders to create innovative solutions that cut across sectors and issues that communities face in the 21st century.

Impact of Donor Support

Because of you:

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state's public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

Our family believes in giving back and sharing the blessings we have received financially and through our time."
