Learn more about your impact

Founding faculty members of the ASU Actuarial Program (ACT) in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Al Boggess, May Boggess, Jelena Milovanovic and Matt Hassett, are committed to identifying and nurturing talents of future actuarial science scholars. The school has been an important source of actuarial employees for Arizona insurance since 1994 and as of fall 2014 has a fully recognized BS degree. In fall 2018, a master of science in actuarial science degree was introduced. This program provides possibilities for the school to collaborate with the local actuarial industry on research in areas such as trend forecasting, predictive analytics, reserving and pricing. With your generous support, these pioneers can help launch the career of future actuary.

Impact of donor support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. Thanks to our donors, more than 7,000 ASU students have received upwards of $32 million in scholarships with more than $39 million raised.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • Important initiatives continue. More than $320 million in new gifts and commitments support ongoing initiatives at ASU.
  • The spirit of generosity abounds. In the past year, more than 100,000 individual, corporate and foundation donors stepped forward to help the ASU community.
