Learn more about your impact

The Thomas J. and Dorothy J. Sokol endowment was created in loving memory of Mr. Thomas Sokol by his family, in particular his wife Dorothy Sokol. The Sokols provided support for one son and two grandchildren to graduate from ASU. They are proud parents/grandparents of Sun Devil graduates. The Thomas J. and Dorothy J. Sokol Maroon and Gold Scholarship supports students at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

This scholarship will allow me to dedicate more time to my studies and activities rather than focusing on my financial situation. Ultimately it will encourage me to work diligently and guide me toward a successful career in the field of journalism."

Jasmine Kabiri, recipient of the Thomas J. and Dorothy Sokol Maroon and Gold Scholarship
