Established by Mary Frances Lewis, family and friends, this scholarship honors William E. “Bill” Lewis upon his retirement after more than 42 years as a professor and administrator at Arizona State University.

Inspired by the scholarships that supported him as a young student, Lewis dedicated his career to teaching and mentoring future engineers. He served in many roles at ASU, including founding chair of the Computer Science Department and assistant dean of the College of Engineering.

Through this endowment, Lewis and his family hope to provide meaningful support to ASU students as they pursue their education and future careers.
