This scholarship fund was established in loving memory of Tyler Sytsma. Sytsma was a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and enlisted with the Marines in 2004. After serving two tours in Iraq, Tyler enrolled at ASU, where he eventually earned a master's degree in sustainability leadership. Sustainability provided Tyler with an outlet to focus his passion and his desire to have a positive impact on the world.
