Internships directly benefit students by building career readiness, connecting them with communities where they can make a difference and helping them robot-proof their skill set! Ninety percent of students in the Department of English who have completed an internship say it led directly to future employment. Your gift supports internship scholarships or awards, incidental expenses, paid internships and more.
As a speaker and writer of English and Urdu, I have invested great time, effort and thought in translating archived pieces from Hayden Ferry Review’s past issues into Urdu, my native language, so that my tongue receives a place of recognition among other languages known and read at ASU, and America, at large. Receiving this award is an acknowledgement of my work and an appreciation of my achievements in this internship thus far.
