Barrett Alumni Opportunity

Dean Tara Williams, former Dean Mark Jacobs, and founding Dean Ted Humphrey have given $2,000 to match the Barrett Alumni Opportunity Scholarship, the Ted Humphrey Scholarship Endowment or the Mark Jacobs Scholarship Endowment to encourage alumni to give back to the college.

Learn more about your impact

The Barrett Alumni Opportunity Scholarship is funded by donations from proud Barrett alumni. Your generosity to the scholarship will impact the life of a Barrett student with financial need who struggles to pay for a Barrett education. The scholarship also provides alumni with a means of giving back to the university and pay forward their education at Barrett.

Because of you, current Barrett students will learn the philanthropic impact of giving back after graduation and will face less of a struggle to pay for their Barrett education.

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

ASU is where I got my start, and there's a real connection made by giving back. Every little bit matters to students who are trying to live on their own and be their own person."
