Our Edson College students are COVID-19 frontline responders. They have participated in test administration, community outreach and door-to-door blood sample collection, all while continuing their studies. Yet not every student has the ability to engage in these out-of-classroom opportunities.
When you make a gift to The Edson College Internships Fund, you provide the funding our students need to gain real-world health care experience. Specifically, this fund provides tuition support for the summer session, when most students have the schedule flexibility to complete an internship but may not be actively enrolled in classes.
Every gift helps enable students to participate in unpaid summer internships, long-term volunteer opportunities or service projects without the additional burden of trying to make up lost wages. They are empowered to gain valuable experience in a rapidly changing field, and learn to think critically about existing health care systems and create innovative solutions.
