Advance Program

Learn more about your impact
This year-long program brings together a cohort of students with diverse backgrounds who can offer different perspectives — on race, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, socioeconomics and geographic diversity.
Students selected for the program will participate in a three-day, preorientation workshop focused on law school success strategies. The workshop will also provide students with early opportunities to interact with ASU Law faculty and staff, current students, ASU Law alumni and members of the Arizona legal community. The program continues throughout the students’ first year of law school, offering events and programming open only to the Advance cohort.
Each Advance Program participant will also be paired with an attorney mentor and a second-year or third-year student mentor. This network from within the law school community and beyond are firmly committed to helping our students realize their professional goals.
Your support funds the preorientation event, programming, materials and travel expenses.
Impact of Donor Support
- More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
- More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
- And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

The reward in giving to ASU comes back time and time again. And it’s so great to be able to see what they do. They want to bless the lives of other people and improve the lives of other people."
