Learn more about your impact
In 1987, the Michael M. Milburn Endowed Scholarship was established in memory of Michael Milburn, a graduate of Thunderbird, by his classmates of 1977 and 1978. He will always be remembered by his classmates as the epitome of a true Texan, exemplifying integrity, true friendship, and business and academic excellence. This scholarship supports students with an interest in entrepreneurial ventures post-graduation.
This award is extremely valuable to me and will play an incredibly important role in my future career development as an entrepreneurial international business person. I also want to express my thanks for your support of Thunderbird students like myself who are attempting entrepreneurial ventures in their career paths and who see global business as an opportunity to expand themselves as future business leaders."
Impact of Donor Support
- More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
- More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
- And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
