This fund was established in 1998 with a gift from Connie Estes to create a reference and resource library for students interested in nonprofit management in the School of Community Resources and Development through the American Humanics program, now known as the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, formerly American Humanics, is a student organization housed in the ASU Lodestar Center and the School of Community Resources and Development, part of ASUs Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. Its main purpose is to develop students into skilled nonprofit leaders by assisting them in earning their CNP credentials. It was founded in 1980 as a chapter of the American Humanics program, which became the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in 2011. ASU won the NLAs Campus Program Excellence Award in 2018.
