Learn more about your impact
This fund was established in 1998 with a gift from Connie Estes to create a reference and resource library for students interested in nonprofit management in the School of Community Resources and Development through the American Humanics program, now known as the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, formerly American Humanics, is a student organization housed in the ASU Lodestar Center and the School of Community Resources and Development, part of ASU's Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. Its main purpose is to develop students into skilled nonprofit leaders by assisting them in earning their CNP credentials. It was founded in 1980 as a chapter of the American Humanics program, which became the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in 2011. ASU won the NLA's Campus Program Excellence Award in 2018.
Impact of donor support
- More learners can pursue higher education. Thanks to our donors, more than 7,000 ASU students have received upwards of $32 million in scholarships with more than $39 million raised.
- More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
- Important initiatives continue. More than $320 million in new gifts and commitments support ongoing initiatives at ASU.
- The spirit of generosity abounds. In the past year, more than 100,000 individual, corporate and foundation donors stepped forward to help the ASU community.

Our family believes in giving back and sharing the blessings we have received financially and through our time."
