Your generosity advances spatially explicit scientific and technological research focused on mitigating and adapting to global environmental change.
Your gift supports the critical work of the Center for Global Diversity and Conservation Science, where we have built a first-of-its-kind coral reef monitoring and alert system capable of detecting changes such as hot-water bleaching and destruction caused by coastal development. Land-based activity has a major impact on neighboring coral reefs via pollutants, sedimentation, and enhanced human access to reef resources. We are working to integrate land- and sea-based ecosystems in a ridge-to-reef type of program, which will transform the science, knowledge, and narrative about coastal ecosystem conservation, management and resource policy.
