Your generosity will uphold the legacy left by Dr. Warren Morrison Sr. After serving in the air force in World War II, Morrison devoted his life to "building bridges between people" due to the horrors that he saw in Nazi concentration camps. Upon returning to the United States, he became the second Black Letterman at ASU, a teacher and soon principal at Dunbar Elementary School. Later in his life, he also served as a vice mayor of the City of Phoenix and on the Arizona Advisory Committee to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission. Morrison was the first African American city Councilman in Phoenix, a president for the Fiesta Bowl and an emeritus faculty in the College of Education, devoting his life to civil rights and connecting the people in his community.Your generosity ensures the preservation of this extraordinary legacy and funds initiatives that reflect Dr. Morrison's lifelong commitment to civil rights and community engagement.
