ASU Art Museum

ASU Art MuseumThe ASU Art Museum is a dynamic, experiential arena for the discovery of art, artists and ideas by local, university and global audiences. The museum is an educational center for both casual learning and intensive research through exhibitions, collections, publications and programs. It is a welcoming place for broad audiences, a gathering place for the university and community, and a cultural destination that is an important asset for the region.

The collection, like many museum programs and initiatives, is international in scope and is unified by the theme of art and society. The museum was founded in 1950 with a major gift of historic American and Latin American modernist works. It is currently housed in two buildings: the Nelson Fine Arts Center, which opened in 1989, and the Ceramics Research Center, which opened in 2002.

Investment Opportunities

The ASU Art Museum relies upon the generosity of its members and investors to achieve its mission. All private and corporate gifts contributed to the ASU Art Museum and the ASU Art Museum’s Ceramics Research Center are used to support exhibitions, educational programs, research, collection management and the ASU Art Museum’s outreach to diverse audiences.
